Mr. Suhas Gopinath, CEO & PRESIDENT, Globals Inc delivers lecture at Amity Campus, Lucknow

Mr. Suhas Gopinath, CEO & PRESIDENT, Globals Inc delivered lecture under “INDIAN LAUREATE SERIES” at Amity Campus, Lucknow on August 27, 2010. Students of Amity Lucknow campus got a rare opportunity to listen to Mr. Suhas Gopinath, CEO & President, GLOBALS Inc. He enjoys the position of being the world’s youngest entrepreneur and was deliberating on his journey from a student to a young entrepreneur.

Mr. Suhas Gopinath, now aged 24, a resident of Bangalore and hails from a middle class family, where his father was a defense scientist. At the age of 14 he was recognized as the world’s youngest certified Professional Web-developer through his project www.coolhindustan.com. Mr. Gopinath was very assertive to be an entrepreneur and wanted to encourage the youth.

In the year 2000, he setup Globals Inc in San Jose, California as the laws in India did not allow him to setup a company in the country as he was still a minor. From then Globals Inc has grown at a scorching speed to become a multi-national IT consulting company with representation in more than 11 countries.

Mr. Suhas Gopinath, at the age of 16 was recognized as the World''''s Youngest Entrepreneur by CNBC and e-Business, Canada. At the age of 17 he was recognized as the World''''s Youngest CEO by all leading Media across the globe including BBC, Washington Times, The Age, and by Limca Book of Records. He is also designated as the resource person for various B-Schools in India and abroad for Entrepreneurship, and is an Advisory Board member at IIT Bombay, Entrepreneurship Cell. In the year 2005, he became the youngest recipient of the prestigious Rajyotsava Award conferred on him by the State Government of Karnataka. Along with his professional activities, he has also volunteered as the Brand ambassador of PeTA and also the Youth Ambassador for Indo-Pak Leadership Program organized by School of Leadership, Pakistan. He will also be the Key Ambassador for the 12th World Business Dialogue, Germany.

Mr. Gopinath spent the entire day on August 27 with Amitians, wherein he addressed the students of management and technical background. Speaking of his experiences and the journey till date, Suhas stressed on the importance of conviction and hard work. He gave excellent examples of ‘entrepreneurial thought’ and kindled the spirit of ‘entrepreneurship’ amongst students. The lecture was followed by an hour long Question-Answer Session with students raising queries after queries.

Mr. Gopinath visited the whole campus and was extremely impressed with the Computer Labs, the Library, Engineering Labs and the Sports Complex. Appreciative of the world class infrastructure, he said, “I envy students who get to study in such environments.”
