The orientation programme, was conducted on 30/08/2011 to 01/09/2011 to welcome the students’ enrolled in the MBA and BBA programmes commencing in 2011. There was whole hearted participation by the students and the parents of new comers on the opening day.
The programme started with the formal registration of students.
All students (105) and their parents (25) participated in Havan which was followed by lunch organised for all students, parents, faculty and staff.
The second half of the day started with a welcome speech by Dr. Seema Tatwawadi, Director of the institute introducing AGBS Mumbai and her team comprising faculty members and members of the staff.
After the tea break, Mr. Shubho Ghoshal, CEO of TVS Infrastructure delivered a lecture on the topic titled “Kal, Aaj aur Kal”, speaking on how the work culture in organizations changes with time.
Second speaker of the day Mr. Amdekar, CS and Consultant, delivered a lecture on the topic “How to have a professional mindset to undertake a professional course”.
After this Mr. Sahil Virani, an alumnus of AGBS Mumbai Class of 2010, interacted with the students to share his experience at the institute and spoke on the realities of corporate world.
The day ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Seema Tatwawadi.
The second day commenced with a training session on Case Study analysis conducted by Mr. Digan Parekh, MD of Finstock Limited.
The students were shown an audio-visual case following which presentations were made by them.

Mr. Paras Shah, an alumnus of AGBS Mumbai (2008-10) shared his valuable experience in the corporate sector.
Akash Taneja, an alumnus of AGBS Mumbai (2008-10) shared his experiences in the institute & corporate world.
The session came to a close with Dr. Tatwawadi thanking all guests, students, volkunteers, faculty members and the staff for making the event a successful one.
Day – 3
“ PRARAMBH” The Management Games was organised for new batch. The purpose for conducting this programme was to give students’ first hand experience of Team Building, Leadership, communication, Trust, Time management, Handling Frustration.

The participation on the succeeding events also surpassed our expectations. I am happy to inform you that during inbound training programme “ Prarambh”we conducted management games for the students to give them a flavor of experiential learning.
The event was a grand success.
