SANCHAAR an ASCo students’ initiative media fest has entered in its third consecutive year. SANCHAAR is credited as the Rajasthan’s only media fest. It’s a two days media fest in which a variety of media related competitions are organized. This time it was held on 17th and 18th November. The foundational occasion was graced by Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, renowned journalist and Prof. Raj Singh, Vice chancellor AUR. A panel discussion on the topic “Media is becoming a giant” gave a kick start to the event. The panel was blessed with the prominent media personalities came from all around the country. The events like Film festival, lan gaming, T.V. anchoring, media quiz, face the press, graffiti, photo exhibition, nukkad natak were lined up to uphold the unblemished continuity of the event. SANCHAAR did not help the students to explore themselves but it also provided an opportunity to interact with the prominent personalities from the media world. The key names like Deepak Mahan famous documentary film maker, Mehraj Dubey prime time news presenter of NDTV were there to carve up their experience with the students and channel their minds. The entertaining part of the fest was the sun-downer events which includes Fashion show, RJ hunt, Rock show. These events just mesmerized the audience as well as guests. Participants from in and outside of the campus made it a big hit. Even the second day of the fest was full of enjoyment and fun along with the intellectual events, the events like solo singing, street dance, group dance were raised the bars high. The valedictory session remained as the most awaited function as it covers the prize distribution ceremony. The ceremony was enlightened by T. Srinivasan, chief information commissioner, Govt. of Rajasthan. The ceremony was concluded by the vote of thanks given by Sunil Saxena Head of the department, ASCo.
