Third International Conference on Positivism from August 6
The 3rd International Conference on POSITIVISM will be held in the Amity University Rajasthan campus from August 6 to 8, 2012. The conference will provide an opportunity to assess the realization of Jaipur Declaration 2010 for Positivism, which was visualized at the first conference in 2010 by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Honourable Founder President, Amity Group of Institutions.
At that conference, the Founder President’s vision was endorsed by world-renowned scientists, psychologists and mental health experts. Since then Amity has striven to enhance and enrich the practice of positivism.
Positivism may be said to flow from a person who thinks and feels positively and this effects others psychologically to become positive --thus benefiting all and sundry.
The focus of the 2012 conference is ‘Foundation for Human Dimension’. Human dimension is closely linked with humanistic psychology which has its core belief in the basic goodness and respect for humanity. Humanists are optimists, who generally think that good will prevail, because being good benefits the person and society as a whole. This is positivism in action.
Over 150 research papers will be presented by scholars during the three-day conference which will have nine Plenary sessions and 12 technical sessions. The conference themes range from humanistic psychology, positive psychology and positivism to positive aging.
The galaxy of speakers include some of the biggest names in the field of psychology and psychiatry.
