The Orientation Program of MBA, batch 2012-14 AGBS Noida concluded on 24 Aug 2012-14. In the concluding address,Dr. Balvinder Shukla Acting V.C. AUUP exhorted the students to work hard on their goals and bring laurels to their parents and the institution. Dr. Sanjay Srivastava personally thanked the AVC for sharing her valuable time and the precious guidance.
The 3 day Orientation Program was inaugurated on 22nd August 2012 with a powerful presentation on Amity Universe, by IAD. Dr. J.N Kaul briefed the students on Anti Ragging Measures. He re iterated the need to maintain discipline while at Amity. Brig. V K Kashyap acquainted the students with academic philosophy Amity Regulations and Evaluation system. The keynote welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Dean faculty of Management Studies, DG, ABS and mentor AGBS. He emphasized the need to imbibe the 101 traits of a true Amitian. He broadly emphasized upon the expectation from the students in a professional program. There is no shortcut to hardwork, he said, therefore, students must be ready for multitasking and learning through actual participation in various events, clubs and communities. The high point of the program was Psychometric Profiling done by Dr. Sanjay Srivastav. The entire exercise coupled with the conclusions so lucidly explained, interspersed with humor left the students spellbound and inquisitive. Later during the day was the much awaited interaction with the Industry Guests and the Alumni Mr Sameer Srivastav from Mastech and Mr Morton C Roberts from Forbes Facility management engaged the students with lessons on how to make themselves industry ready, which was coordinated by Ms Aparajita Dagupta.
The Alumni shared their experiences with the students. The students were also briefed on the importance of value added programs by Dr. Monica of AIPAS the approaching Sangathan 2012 along with sports facilities available was covered by Dr.Kalpana Sharma Director ASPESS. Ms. Chhaya Chordia, Director Amity hostels briefly informed the facilities available at the hostel, a home away from home, and the need to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel.The presentation given by Global Times representatives was very informative and interesting for the new students. The orientation program ended with a vote of thanks by Col Y.K. Arora. He congratulated the students on their joining the prestigious MBA program at AGBS Noida.
