The orientation program for PGPM+MBA and GDBA+BBA first semester started on 11th September 2012 with the registration process, which was held under the supervision of Registration Head Ms. Radhika.
At 12 p.m. all the students along with their Parents were gathered in the Auditorium for the Havan. The Havan ritual was performed in the presence of Mr. Ramachandran, Asstt. Vice President, Amity Headquarters, Noida along with Director of Amity Pune (Col.) Dr. Sneh Sharma, Dr. Chhabi Sinha (Dean) and all Amity Pune Staff.
Post lunch, Director addressed the gathering with his Welcome address followed by the session on “Introduction to Amity Universe” by Mr. Ramachandran who share the vision of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group of emphasizing on quality education and overall development of the students.Next session was conducted by Dean Ma’am which was an Introduction to all the Faculty members and the Non Academic staff.
To test the IQ level of the students, the General Awareness and Analytical Ability Building test was conducted by Academic Coordinator Jaya Pawar, Marketing Research Staff Abhishek sir and Jitendra sir.
The 1st day was ended by Business Games which was conducted by General Satur at 5 p.m. He organized two games: ‘Tower Building Game’ and ‘Complete the Broken Square’. The games were based on the Achievement and Motivation. The objective of these games was to highlight the importance of Team Work.
2nd day began at 10 a.m. with an Ice breaking session ‘Together we bond’ conducted by Prof. Swati and Prof. Shefali. Two games were organized to know the strength and weakness of the Students .
Later, Dean ma’am addressed the class on the Academic Philosophy of Amity, its Evaluation system and Examination procedure.
Post lunch, a session on Leadership qualities in Business management was conducted by Prof. Shukla, followed by Director Sir’s session on “Rules & Code of Conduct (includes anti ragging measures).
A Guest lecture was organized at 3:30pm which was addressed by Mr. Dilip Randive he spoke on ‘Corporate expectation from MBA professionals.’
Began with Alumni interaction we had Ms. Mithu Chakroborthy and Ms. Aprajita Bajaj who interacted with the fresh batch. They spoke on their journey in Amity and how Amity helped them to build their career and fulfill their dreams.
Session on Industrial Interaction was addressed by our esteemed guest Mr. Tejendra Pal Singh, Senior Manager Training and Development of Krilosker Oil Engines Ltd. who spoke on the importance on the Time Management, Life’s Vision and Long term Goals.
In the second half we had introduction and briefing about the College Club activities and Committees by the MBA senior batch.
Began with an Alumni interaction we had Mr. Somya Acharya (HR Partner) IBM who interacted with the students.
