DPS Students Visit Amity University Gwalior
Amity University, Gwalior was all in a buzz on 6thAugust, as it organized the DPS School visit of the students of 10th, 11th and 12th classes at the University Campus. The total number of visiting students was 236 accompanied by 8 teachers. They were divided into eight batches. The visit saw maximum participation by University faculty and students who gave them all the required information about the University and its various courses. The students during their half-day visit were shown various departments, labs and hostel facilities of the University. They were all also informed about the various state-of–the-art facilities available in the University.
Appreciating the initiative taken by DPS to send their students to the campus, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd), Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Madhya Pradesh said that this is a small beginning and such visits will be organized on regular basis from other prominent schools of Gwalior as well. During his presentation to the visiting students on Aims of Education and Way Ahead, the Hon’ble VC motivated the school students to acquire excellence in their chosen field to move forward in their lives and contribute towards nation building.
The students during the interactive question - answer session asked various questions on courses in the University on subjects like Engineering, Biotechnology, Law, Management and Journalism etc. They were also very inquisitive about the career opportunities available after doing professional and pure sciences courses.
Sharing his views during the visit, Dr Anil Vashisht, Deputy Director, ABS who had organized this visit, said that these kinds of visits by school students will make them aware of the courses, facilities and infra-structure being offered by AU MP and also help them in choosing the appropriate programme and career.
