Amity International School East Delhi wins the inaugural DBS Six a side CUP

Amity International School wins the inaugural DBS Six a side CUP by defeating Modern School Barakhamba Road. Mr. K P S Gill, President of Indian Hockey Federation awarded Amity International School, winners of India's first six a side tournament in Delhi today. Officially supported by Indian Hockey Federation and International hockey body – FIH, the tournament has been customized to make it more interesting. Speaking about the tournament Mr. Gill said – "We plan to organize more tournaments across the country and this is a first step in this direction".

In the final match Amity International defeated Modern School Barakhamba Road by a healthy margin of 2 goals. The winners were leading in the half time by a margin of one goal.Over the entire tournament the four best male players were awarded as was the best female player. These were the awarded players: Hemant Singh from Amity International School, Prithvi from Modern School Barakhamba Road, Raj Ratan from DPS R.K. Puram and Aganjiv from Vasant Valley School, the best female player was Unnati Powar from Vasant Valley School. The price for fair play has been given to Vasant Valley School.

This DBS CUP was created and conceptualized by SCORE, India's First Sports Development and Marketing agency. According to Sunil Yash Kalra, Partner, this Carnival was a great success and SCORE is definitely looking into doing more events like these in the future.
