Amity has set a novel trend to celebrate the birthday of Chancellor of Amity University, Mr. Atul Chauhan by way of hosting Amity Child Care Day at Amity Campus, Noida. This day brought together hundreds of children of Amity family, staff and management to compete in Healthy Baby Competition, Musical Chair Competition, Painting Competition, Cultural programmes, Fun and Games Fair, joyrides and other activities were also organized for the age group of 3-13 years.
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) in his inaugural address said that it’s really nice to see children in the age group of 3-13 years all gathered under a single roof, keen to participate in the events which were organized to celebrate the birthday of Mr. Atul Chauhan. This not only shows students’ regard and respect but also their adherence to culture and traditions. Further asserting the importance of “Amity Child Care Day” Dr. Chauhan said that whether it is a celebration of an adult’s birthday or a child’s birthday, the joy is always manifold if kids are involved.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools said, “Amity believes in nurturing talent. The talent showcased by these young kids is exemplary. Such an event organized for the first time for the families of Amity has strengthened the bond between the staff and the management with kids being the connecting link which will help in building the strength of any organization”.
Thanking all young kids for their participation and good wishes, Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University was overjoyed and full of emotions. Expressing his feelings he said that children get benefited from such participation in many ways, including improvement in physical well-being; learning to extend themselves; learning and experiencing team work; developing and refining skills; learning to cope with adversity; learning to loose with dignity and to win with grace. More importantly, to meet the families of staff was an ecstatic moment for one and all.
During the day and as a part of the celebration Kevin Locke, a visionary Hoop Dancer and Traditional Story Teller from US enthralled audiences with his performance. His belief in the unity of humankind was expressed dramatically in the traditional Hoop Dance which illustrated “the role and responsibilities that all human beings have with in the circles of life”. The occasion was graced by many senior officials, institutional heads of Amity and students from Amity Campuses.
