The five-day Inspire Internship program sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, was conducted successfully by Amity University Rajasthan from December 16 to 20, 2013.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. L. K. Maheshwari, former Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, and Prof. S. K. Dube, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUR. Prof. Dube welcomed participants on behalf of the Hon’ble Founder President and the Hon’ble Chancellor (AUR) and followed it with an inspiring and vibrant talk.
During the event, 12 eminent scientists which included three Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Awardees, gave informative lectures to 200 student participants.
Besides lectures, science workshops and hands-on-training was organized for the students under the guidance of AUR Faculty. A Science Quiz was also held on the occasion.
The Valedictory session was chaired by Dr. A. Mukhopadhyay, Scientist G – DST, and Advisor to Government of India. Certificates and awards were also distributed during the session. The five-day event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. G. K. Aseri, Coordinator Inspire 2013. He acknowledged the contribution of the organizing committee (Dr. Manali Dutta, Dr. Jagdip Singh Sohal, Dr. Vinod Singh Gour, Mr. Anuj Arora, Dr. Deepshikha Bhargava, Dr. Shikha Sharma, Prof. Neeraj Kumar, Dr. Anupam Jyoti, Ms. Ritu Bhal, Ms. Rajbala and Mr. Vikas) for planning and executing the different aspects of Inspire 13.
