Recent Trends in Digital and Data Communications
Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh Gwalior conducted a seminar on “Recent Trends in Digital and Data Communications” on 02 April 2014. The seminar started with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. The inaugural session of the seminar, Lt. Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AU MP delivered the keynote address on Latest Trends in Digital and Data Communications. He said that a lot of progress has been made in the field of digital and data communications in the last decade. He focused on the issues related to data security in India and stressed on the need to develop indigenous operating systems, as the existing operating system, such as Windows and Androids are not reliable from the perspective of data security. As India has emerged as a leading player in the area of developing software and information technologies, the younger generation must reap the benefits out of this advancement. He presented numerous examples on the applications of Digital and Data Communications, such as trends in Multiplexing techniques, WIMAX and Data Security.
The students of First year (II Sem) B.Tech.(ECE and CSE ) of Amity University Madhya Pradesh delivered a number of well-researched presentations on the focus area with sub-themes in Trends in Multiplexing Techniques, Trends in Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access (WIMAX), Data Security Using Water Marking, Emerging Technologies for Data Communications. Abhishek Shukla, Anurag Shukla, Shabnam Bhadoria, Shashikant Singh, Akansha Kumar presented a paper on Trends in Multiplexing Techniques. Tanushri Soni, Rahul Dahiya, Shaik. Nagur Meeravali, Neha Rajput,Dasari Vamsi Nandan presented a paper on Trends in Wireless Interoperability for Microwave Access (WIMAX). Abhijith Menon, Nishant Nagar, Ishan Dubey, Dheerendra Singh Tomar presented a paper on Data Security Using Water Marking. Priyanka Yadav, Shivani Dubey, Kovid Singh, Maaz Hasan presented a paper on Emerging Technologies for Data Communications. The student presentations were formalized under the active guidance of Mrs. Rinkoo Bhatia, Mr.Vivek Parashar, Mrs Amrita Parashar and Mr.Vivek Singh Kushwah. The programme was hosted by Charushi Rupani and Shanan Poply.
Participation certificates were distributed to all the speakers of the seminar by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dean (Academics) and HOI-ASET. The Dean(Research), Registrar, Director (Administration), Heads of Schools, faculty members, staff members and students of Amity School of Engineering and Technology were present on the occasion. A vote of thanks was proposed by the convener of the programme Prof (Dr.) Bikram K. Bahinipati. The event was highlighted by overwhelming participation by students and faculties of Amity University.
