Seminar on Recent Trends in Automobile Engineering and Technology
Recent Trends in Automobile Engineering and Technology 14th September 2012 A seminar on “Recent Advances in Automobile Engineering and Technology” was organized by the Mechanical and Automation Engineering Department of Amity University Madhya Pradesh Located at Gwalior on 14th September 2012. The seminar started with traditional lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Inaugurating the seminar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma delivered a presentation on the theme by focusing on the various perspectives of automobile revolution on a global scale with its scope and future trends. The major attraction of the programme was a detailed presentation by Shri Arjun Chauhan and Shri Mihir Singh, the student participants of Amity University Noida Campus, who designed and assembled a high performing prototype Formula-1 car along with other team members. Both arethe MAE students at Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and had been working for almost last one year to design a Racing Car. The presentation made by them motivated the students to undertake research work in Automobile Engineering.The students second year B.Tech. (MAE) of the Amity University Madhya Pradesh delivered a number of well- researched presentations with sub-themes in Automobile Engineering and Technology, such as Alternative Energy Sources,Digital Twin Spark Ignition Engines, Six-stroke Engines, Next Generation Two-stroke Engines and Future Trends in Automobile Engineering and Technology. Shri Akshat Upadhyay and Shri Subham Kapoor presented on the “Next Generation Two-stroke Engines”. Sk. Ahtesham Hussain and Shri Anjay Kumar Singh presented on “Future Trends in Automobile Engineering”. Shri Awesh Brahme and Shri Ritesh Pandey Presented on “Six-stroke Automotive Engines”. Shri Gaurav Uphale and Shri Danish Parvez presented on the sun-theme of “Alternative Energy Sources in Automobile Engineering”. The programme was hosted by Ms. Priya Dulani and Ms.Nidhi Singh (2nd Year B.Tech. in Biotechnology). Participation certificates were distributed to all the speakers of the seminar by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University. A few professionals and educationists from Gwalior also volunteered in the seminar. The Registrar, Director(Administration), Dean (Academics), Heads of Schools, faculty members, staff members and students were present on the occasion. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Bikram K. Bahinipati , Deputy Director and Head of Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh. The event was highlighted by overwhelming participation of students of Amity University and other institutes in Gwalior, which was organized in the auditorium of the university. The seminar ended with a standing ovation to the guest speakers,student presenters and the organizers.
