To mark the beginning of the session on an auspicious note “HAVAN” was organized in the campus. Seeking Blessings from our Respected Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Beloved President, Shri Atul Chauhan, our Honorable VP, Mr Ramchandran; Dr. E Ilamathian, Director, AGBS Chennai & Dr. S Vengadamani, Dean AGBS Chennai, extended a cordial and warm welcome to all the students and their parents to Amity family. It is during this period of orientation that prepares the budding managers and future leaders to become more aware and develop a deeper insight of the changes in the business environment. The orientation program aims to be the decisive step that prepares an individual embarking on the journey of life in general and the chosen field of specialization in particular.
The orientation session at Amity Chennai was conducted over three days commencing from the 26th August to the 28th was both enthralling and enriching.
Day 1: Innovations and role of Managers: We had the pleasure of having Shri Purushothaman K. Regional Director at NASSCOM as the Chief Guest. His session kindled the interest of students as he spoke about the numerous opportunities created through innovations in technology and in the application of management practices.
Day 2: Academic and Psychometric Testing: Prof. Kavitha Menon presented the Academic guidelines pertaining to attendance, internal marks, and course evaluation tothe new MBA (2014-16) and BBA (2014-17) students.
Day 3: Alumni Interaction: The uniqueness of the management program at Amity lies in its multi-faceted approach to problem solving in one’s endeavor to achieving an objective, this being an essential prerequisite in corporate world marked by hyper-competition.
This was brought alive by the Alumni interaction-Balakumaran MBA (2010-2012) working with Bhawan Cybertech, Sumin MBA (2012-14) with the Taj Hospitality and Joanny (2012-14)from Scope International. The session was exciting with Prof. Bala, placement cell coordinating the activity.
