A Band comprising of thirteen students from Yale University,known worldwide as “Out of the Blue”, presented a mesmerizing “Vocal JazzConcert” at Amity University, Sector-125, Noida.
Out of the Blue (OOTB) is Yale University's award-winning contemporary aCappella group, known for its tight vocals and electric performance style,entertaining audiences near and far with an eclectic repertoire of current andclassic pop, rock, R&B, jazz, and dub step. OOTB has performed in diverseand exotic venues, from the United States Embassy in Singapore to MadisonSquare Garden in New York City.
TheBand comprised of Dhiksha Balaji, Sonali Chauhan,Maddy Batt, HaydenKline, Hannah Knight, Alex Lee, Steven Maclean, Chidera Osuji, JacksonRichmond, Alex Roth, Alex Swanson, Charlie and Spencer Villars. TheConcert included an eclectic array of current & classic Pop, Rock, R&Band Jazz songs, creating one-of-a-kind performances, lifting up the soul andspirits of one and all.
Someof the upbeat renderings of the Band during an hour long performance included “Changing– Sigma”, “Cheating – John Newman”, “I Won't Give Up – Jason Mraz”, “Too Close– Alex Clare”, “Badmoon Rising – Creedence Clearwater Revival”, “Blank Page –Christina Aguilera”, “Clarity/Wake Me Up – Zedd/Avicii”, and others.
Addressing the gathering and congratulating the singers forbrilliant performance, Dr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University UttarPradesh saidthat it’s the first time that “Out of the Blue” has performed in India, whichshows how well know Amity Universities are known worldwide. He remarked thatall the singers in the Band are exceptionally talented and good human beingswho travel around the world to share their music with audiences across theworld, spreading the message that music transcends the physical boundaries andit has no language.
