Amity School of Business (ASB), NOIDA had reached the North Zone Finals of Business Today’s ACUMEN. It is one of the most coveted and tough competitions. ACUMEN, now into its fifth Year is a National Business School Challenge on Quiz, Debate and Case Games. India's best B-schools match their wits against each other - more than the usual display of debating and quizzing skills. There are four Regional rounds in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata followed by Grand National Finals in December.
The North Zone selections were from October 05, 07- October 06, 07 at IIFT, Delhi. More than 55 Business Schools and Institutes clashed their wits in nail biting competitions. ASB represented by Nirvan Mehra and Saraswat Mohapatra were among the 4 teams which reached the Finals. The other 3 were IMT- Ghaziabad, IIFT -New Delhi, and MDI -Gurgaon. The only team which made it to the final was IMT, Ghaziabad.
According to Prof. Alka Munjal- Director, ASB reaching the regional final is in itself a huge victory. The overall experience was very educative and enriching for the students. They had the highest score in the prelims. The students had won nearly Rs. 70,000, two mobile phones (Dopot), Harvard Business Review Subscription worth Rs. 20,000, Idea Sim Cards of around Rs.20, 000 and Participation Certificates
Harsha Bhogle, the quiz master, also commended the performance of ASB students.
