Plantation Drive

Plantation drive has been organizedby National Service Scheme Units of Amity University Rajasthan Jaipur on 29July 2016. On this occasion 250 plants of Gulmohar were planted on road sidesin the campus. It would be worth to mention here that last year the NSS unitsplanted 500 plants, out of them 60% could survive and this plantation drive wasto replace the non surviving plants.  Onthis occasion (Retd.) G. S. Rathore welcomed the gathering and he appreciatedthe efforts of volunteers and support of administration. Honorable vicechancellor Prof. S. K. Dube, while addressing the gathering shared thatplantation and care of growing plants is important. He informed that plantationwill help in mitigating effects of global warming.  Pro-Vice chancellor Prof. S. L. Kotharivisited whole plantation area and advised for special care of some infectedplants. Saplings were planted by one and all present in this event.

Onthis occasion support of Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Ratnadeep Roy, Mr. Sachin Bansal(officers of NSS) and other faculty members namely Dr Era Upadhyay, Dr. RahulTripathi, Ms. Saniya, Dr. Sanket Kaushik, Dr. Tarun Kumar Sharma, Mr. JitenderRajpurohit and S S Nanda was appreciable. Presence of Maj Gen C P Singh (Retd),Dean Student welfare, Prof. Vijay Singh Dahima, Prof. G. K. Aseri, GroupCaptain Ajoy Mudaliyar (Retd) along with heads of institutes and severalfaculty members made the event gracious. It also motivated the studentvolunteers for this international cause.
