Amity Institute of Physiotherapy (AIPT) conducted a two day workshop on “Traumatic Brain Injury” from October 11-12, 07 in Amity Campus, Sector- 44 Noida.
The resource person of the workshop was Prof. Sanjay E. Samuel from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore who has a wide experience in rehabilitation of Traumatic Brain Injury patients.
Inaugurating the workshop, Prof. Sanjay E Samuel described the role of Physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of Traumatic Brain Injury Patients and how an accurate treatment approach can gradually ensure possible level of wellbeing of a patient.
Welcoming the distinguished delegates, Prof. Raj Singh- Pro VC (A), AUUP gave his deliberation on the need for experts who can talk about latest techniques available for rehabilitation of such serious patients. He also shared his views on the changing trends in the health care industry which can be instrumental in curing the patients suffering from acute traumatic brain injuries.
The two- day workshop was a perfect amalgamation of demonstration techniques and interactive sessions on the treatment option available for patients suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury.Several issues were broached during the workshop including Assessments of Patients of TBI; Balance Assessment and Acute Care of TBI; Vestibular Rehabilitation; Functional Assisstance; Final Management of TBI and Vocational Training
At the end of second day participation certificates were awarded to all the delegates. Over 39 delegates from different Institutions across the country including Ambala, Delhi, and Faridabad participated in the workshop
