Day 01 :- A day of new phase of life and new dreams started at 9.00 am by the registration of students of MBA (2017-2019 batch) and BBA (2017-2020 batch). Forty Six (46) of MBA and Eighty Three (83)of BBA students reported on first day. Forty Three (43) Parents accompanied their wards. This gave a feeling of pride to be AMITIANS to students and Parents both. At 1100 hrs students, volunteers, parents, faculties and staff of Amity attended HAVAN . The Havan ritual was performed by the Director General, Amity Pune Col (Dr.) Sneh V Sharma. After distribution of Prasad all of them proceeded to Seminar Hall for Formal Function. The Director General addressed the gathering and conveyed the blessings of our respected Founder President Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Our Honorable President and Chancellor, Dr. Atul Chauhan and our beloved Sr. Vice President, shri U Ramachandran. The welcome address was followed by ‘Introduction to Amity Universe’ by Dr Vikas Singh, who shared the vision of our respected Founder President Sir, of emphasizing on quality education and overall development of the students.The new students were acquainted tothe background, vision, growth, culture and philosophy of AMITY Group.
Prof. Swati introduced all the faculty and Non-academic Staff and the formal session was concluded with national Anthem.
Post lunch Session by Student Council was held where they emphasized on Forums , Clubs,Events and Code of Conduct at AMITY Pune, briefing about Amity Culture,cordial relation, discipline, and extracurricular events. The last session was conducted by Mr. Suhas Talvar (Director Insight Consulting) a motivational speaker,where he emphasized on internal energy, self awareness and preparation for understanding self . He categorically asked students to get serious about the awareness about the environment change, expectation and reality of life.
Day 02 :- The Orientation Programme included a variety of activities and lectures by eminent personalities in the coming days. It is the new beginning in their life and so the students started the day with Col. Mukesh Rao from Reliance Mumbai talking about CTC (Campus to Corporate). He emphasized on attitude building and emotional stability among students to be ready with corporate pressure and expectations. The session was followed by Ms. Sonal Modi – Head HR L&T Infotech. She talked about the corporate expectations from management students and intelligence required during recruitment process. She highlighted the recruitment and selection process and the companies view about students durings election. The second half of the day was conducted by Mr.Bhupendra and Ms. Poonam, where they conducted a work shop (ABC Of Self) with students that emphasized on personality grooming of students.
Day 03 :- The Third day of academic orientation started at 9.00 am with an interaction with Col Dilip Sapoori – Former Head HR and CSR, Cummins India. He guided students about the discipline, sincerity and hardship required to be ready for corporate and self success. Second session of the day on Teaching and Learning was conducted by Dr. Dipti Tulpule. She conducted various management games on the business processes and procedures, team building and self awareness. Second half began with session on Syllabus, Evaluation and Attendance by Prof Preetam C and Mrs Smita Nagmode where they cleared doubts and curiosity of students about attendance, exams and results. Followed by session on Placement by Mr. Sanjeep Biswas. Next session was conducted by Prof Mohan Anand on Projects(SAP/ SIP/ Research Assignment), he instructed students about requirement /format / method and company information required while doing such projects .He also highlighted the evaluation pattern of Project Work and report. The last session of the day was on Code of conduct /Rules of Library, canteen, parking and Ragging; which was conducted by Prof Mohan Anand and Mrs Varsha Zapke.
The Orientation Program was concluded with a promise to set high goals and then travel on the path that leads to the goal.
