Amity University Jharkhand, 10/05/2018: Today the 10th May, 2018, Thursday morning brought with it, a 'wave of new ideas' in the atmosphere of Amity University Jharkhand. Each and every ‘Amitian’ could easily witness the warmth of innovative and creative ideas, and it was all due to the National Seminar, entitled, “Bio Technovation: Summer Biotech Fest”, organized by the Department of B.Tech (Biotechnology).
“Youngsters should be the flag-bearers in the field of technology and innovation”, says Dr. Debashish Chakraborty, Senior Scientist, CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. He underlined the necessity of implementation of creative ideas in the field of crop production. He further added that crop productivity is less because of the drastic changes in the climate leading to different stresses. The day began with the handing over of the token of appreciation to the Chief Guest as a gesture of deep respect and honor. The event primarily focused on the prevalent climatic conditions and emphasized on the dire need to cope up with such stresses.
Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand highlighted the different aspects of biotechnological development. He acknowledged each and everyone who were actively engaged in making this event a grand success.
The students of the Biotechnology department presented several appreciable project ideas. The ideas given by the budding researchers were really praiseworthy.
