Amity University Jharkhand Conducted A Discussion On Constitutional Rights For Women

Amity University Jharkhand, 15/03/2018: Amity University Jharkhand Commemorating Women’s week on 15th  March 2018 organized a discussion on the constitutional rights for women. Prof.(Dr). Raman Kumar Jha, the Hon. Vice Chancellor of the University said that neither a woman nor a man should be considered as important then the other and are to be treated equally in the society and before the Constitution. The session was declared open by the Director, Prof.(Dr). Ajit Kr.Pandey with the words that gender distinction should not be supported in whatsoever manner and there should not be any exclusion or special provisions.  The Chief Guest of the program Mrs. Aparna Sinha, National General Secretary (Human Rights and Social Justice Commission) also crowned as Mrs. India confident Queen 2015 addressed the gathering and discussed about the rights especially provided for women  enshrined in the Indian Constitution. She added that there is no difference between the two genders, moreover she emphasized that the women are the creators and can bring the change. Patience and calm can bring confidence to shape the world.

She also mentioned about the safety measures and precautions one should take, and awareness of the rights one should have. The session came to an end with the active participation of the students by putting their questions up and discussing over the day to day issues. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Shovona.  Faculty members, staff and students actively participated in this session.
