A day long Faculty Enrichment Programme (FEP) cum workshop was organized by Amity Institute of Education , AUUP, NOIDA in collaboration with National Institute of Open Schooling ( NIOS) , NOIDA on “SEAA-SWAYAM Efficiencies, Accessibilities & Availabilities” University Campus, Sector 125 Noida.
Dr Sunita Singh , Offg. Vice Chancellor,AUUP ,NOIDA, Prof C B Sharma , Chairman , NIOS and his team from NIOS were present during the occasion.
Welcoming the gathering, Dr Alka Muddgal, Prof & Head , AIE ,AUUP expressed the need for popularization of MOOCS for realizing the three cardinal principles of New Education Policy –Access , Equity and Quality.
Prof CB Sharma, Chairman , NIOS elaborated on the role of ICT basedonline courses in support of Lifelong learning.
While sharing her views, Dr SunitaSingh motivated the participants and the resource persons of the day, shecongratulated the organizers for organizing an FEP on such a pertinent theme.She shared her personal experience with the audience and expressed her hopethat the SWAYAM initiative of GoI will bring quality in Education.
The master of ceremony for today’sprogramme was Dr. Rasna Shehrawat. The presence of Dr. Ranjana Bhatia motivatedthe organizers of this one day Faculty Enrichment Programme.
Sh S K Prasad , Director , SSS; ShChanchal Kr Singh, Training Officer(Languages) ; Sh Pramod Kr Tripathi,Training Officer (ICT) and Ms Sonika Tyagi-EDP were the resources persons who graced thedevelopment programme.
The technical session was on the theoreticalaspects of SWAYAM and followed by a session wherein all the aspects of Coursedevelopment were discussed by the resource persons. The interactive session wasalso very lively wherein the resource persons clarified all doubts of theparticipants. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr G N Tiwari.
