The Orientation program began with Havan by which Shri U. Ramachandran, Senior Vice President, Amity Education Group sort the blessings of the almighty and our Honourable Founder President, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Respected President, Dr. Atul Chauhan.
The program was marked by the prsesnce of distinguished guest and speaker Dr. A.V. Singh President and Head (EHS) BajajHindustan Limited, Honorable Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla Ma’am Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Honorable Shri U. Ramachandran, Senior Vice President, Amity Education Group, Respected Director Sir Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kathuria, Respected Dean Prof. (Dr.) Aparajita Dasgupta Amist, Respected Associate Dean Prof. (Dr.) Ruchi Sinha, Respected Major John Director Academics AGBS HQ , esteemed faculty members and representatives from AGBS Head quarters,Noida.
The program began with the lamp lighting ceremonyin the presence of all the dignitaries, accompanied by a short recital of the Sarawati Vandana.
The distinguished guest and speaker Dr. A. V. Singh Presidentand Head (EHS) Bajaj Hindustan Limited and honorable Mr. U. Ramachandran Sir,Senior Vice President, Amity Education Group were presented with a bouquet as atoken of respect by Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kathuria. The ceremony continued withthe welcome speech by distinguished guest and speaker Dr. A.V. Singh Presidentand Head (EHS) Bajaj Hindustan Limited. He shared his valuable 38 years ofexperience with the students and motivated them to work hard and to grab the opportunities, which they will encounter in life. Dr. A. V. Singh shared withthe students that should focus on their dreams, which would eventually bearfruits in the long term and the word “impossible” should not feature in one’sdictionary. He also mentioned the importance of networking and carrying the right attitude which is necessary for a person to be successful.
The welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kathuria to the students about how one can always be a winner and competent in this challenging world. He introduced the BBA and MBA batch to AGBS Noida and beinga part of Amity Universe. This was followed by the motivating and inspiring speech by honorable Shri U. Ramachandran Sir, Senior Vice President, Amity Education Group. He shared his vision and mission of Amity and persuaded the students to work towards their goals. He ended his speech on a positive note by making the students realize the importance of seeking guidance from ones parents and grandparents in the journey of one’s life.
The day ended with birthday celebrations of Honorable Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University. She in her inspiring words motivated and welcomed the new students of BBA & MBA to the Amity family.

The second day of orientation started on an energetic note when Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kathuria Sir felicitated the honorable industry captains – Mr. E.G Balaji Tax Senior Manager at Deloitte and Touche Tax Technologies, Ms. Sabina Kamal Chief Operating Officer at MobiQuest Mobile, Mr.Anil Kumar Mishra Chief Human Resource Officer at Magicbricks.com followed by their guest lecture to our BBA & MBA students.
Mr. E.G Balaji Tax Senior Manager at Deloitte educated the students about the requisites of an effective communication in the organisation, never say no to any opportunity , active participation and be honest to your organization. Ms.Sabina Kamal Chief Operating Officer at MobiQuest Mobile talked about 4 Ps intrend- Passion, Perseverance, Prayer & Patience and their importance in the organization. She also briefed the students about the working culture practiced at MobiQuest Mobile. Mr. Anil Kumar Mishra Chief Human Resource Officer at Magicbricks.com advised the students to maintain work – life balance when they will start working. He shared his experience with the students and suggested themto be dedicated and honest towards their job. In addition, he suggested thestudents to ‘never give up’ on failures.
The program continued with the appearance of alumni– Ms. Nancy Sharma manager at MobiQuest Mobile, Ms. Sanya Dhingra Platinum Ambassador at American Express, Mr. Abhaas Dalal Territory Sales Manager at Bharti Airtel and Ms. Shruti Sharma Business Development Manager at Smart School Education felicitated by Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kathuria Sir. The alumni talked about their experience at AGBS and motivated students to work towards their dreams. Overall it was an interactive session with the distinguished industry guests and the alumni.
The event continued with Amizone session introduced by Ms. Mamta Chawla, AGBS faculty. She educated the new batch of BBA & MBA students about their registration procedure, courses, faculty, etc. Followed by lecture of Mr. Indranil Mutsuddi on the Code of Conduct to the new students. He briefed the students about the discipline and code of conduct followed at AGBS. Further, the session was continued by Prof. Divina Raghav on Behavioral Science,who enlightened the students with the importance of behavioral science course,with her ocean of knowledge and wisdom. The next session was taken up by Mr.Sachin Rohatgi on Study Abroad Program, which introduced the students about the opportunities to study at one of the amity campuses situated abroad. Further the session was taken up by Prof. (Dr.) Inder Pal Singh Deputy Proctor, Amity University. He briefed the students about Anti Ragging Measures at Amity. The last session was concluded by Col. Bhatt, who made the students familiar about the adventurous activities at Military Training Camp organized by Amity University. He also presented a short video to the new batch, which flashed the nostalgic memories of previous batches at the training camp.
The Orientation carried back with the students a senseof positivity and a futuristic outlook for them to develop into young and energetic managers, carrying the importance of making their alma mater proud.
