AGBS Ahmedabad organized a two-day orientation program to familiarize new batch of MBA (2018-2020) and BBA(2018-2021) with Amity philosophy, culture and value system and also to acclimatize them with the academic system, rules and regulations of the Institute.
The Orientation program commenced with Registration process for the new entrants. As per the traditions of Amity, all students, parents, faculties and staff participated in Havan and Pooja to seek blessings from the God Almighty and fromour Honorable Founder President Sir, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan; on behalf of ourRespected President Sir, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Our beloved Sr. V.P.,& Shri & U. Ramachandran. After Havan and Pooja, the campus arranged Gala Lunch to welcome the new batch students. The students loved and relished the food andthe decent arrangement that was made to serve them. The event provided the opportunity to establish the positive relationship between students, faculty members and staffmembers.
The formal session started with a session by HOI Prof. (Dr.) Prashant Saxena to familiarize students with Amity Universe and also introduced all the faculty members, and all the staff members including class 4 employees. Right after the session students were given a chance to interact with alumni of Amity Ahmedabad. Arjundev Zala, Siddharth Mishra, Nitesh Jamwal, Aditi Amin, Nidhi Ray, Rinisha Nair were some of the Alumni who enlightened the students.“The session really up-lifted the students for their career and goals in life’’- quoted by one of the MBA participant.
The Second day of the orientation program commenced with a session on ‘‘Life at Amity Ahmedabad’’ and Sports events, was conducted by Prof. Bansi Patel, Prof. Himani Kapadia and Prof. Tejas Joshi. The session provided the information on cultural events, and Sports events organized in thecollege, as well as Sangathan at Amity University Noida. Mr. Dhrumin Shah,Asst. Manager – Admin. & Academics, conducted the session on Academic policies of Amity, to familiarize students with Amizone, Attendance policy,Exam policy, grading policy and other academic policies of Amity. The session ended with a discussion on Anti-ragging policy conducted by Dr. Nilesh Pandya.Mr. Tanmay Kothari, Assistant Marketing Manager, initiated a talk on Study Abroad Program (SAP) to familiarize the students with the opportunities offered at International campuses. The students were briefed about advantages of SAP in their career.
Shri Subhash Jagota graced the occasion with his presence. His presence and the gentle words of appreciation were a source of encouragement to all student staff and faulty. Shri. Jagota Ji took an experiential session which lasted almost 2 hours encouraging students to form goals and be presentable.
The session followed by SIP Excellence and Corporate Awards to acknowledge the support of Industry mentors who were been invited at the institution. The following Corporate mentors attended the program and gave their advice and blessings to the students
