Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism organized a concluding ceremony for the students of BA in Tourism Administration of 2005- 08 batch.
Welcoming the august gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Manohar Sajnani- Director, Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism presented a brief overview of the pedagogy followed at the institute, achievements of the students and the companies where the students have been absorbed even before they completed their course.
Blessing the students during the ceremony, Ms. Neelam T Kapoor- All India Quality and Training Head, American Express and Chief Guest on the occassion conveyed her gratitude to Amity for giving her the opportunity to interact with the budding professionals, who are all set to make big in the tourism industry. Talking about the spiraling Travel and Tourism industry she said that Indian Tourism industry is growing by leaps and bounds providing unfathomable opportunities to the youth. Given the fact that India is the second largest English speaking country in the world, Indian youth have an edge over their counterparts across the world. They are sought after not only in Asia but across entire globe. She called upon the students to keep them abreast with the latest technology in the industry and forge ahead with zeal, conviction and confidence.
During the ceremony, the students shared their experiences in the companies they are working with and extended their gratitude to the director, faculty members and the institute for easing their entry into the tourism sector.
The distinguished guests gave away the provisional certificates, awards and prizes to the students for their achievements in academic and extra curricular activities. Ms. Yoma Sharma received the Best Student Award.
