Amity Football Development Center Rural Football League - Sub Junior organised at Village Bahalba, Rohtak

The long cherished dream of rustic childern of Haryana came true with Amity Football Development Center’s Rural Football League - Sub Junior which kick started at Village Bahalba, Rohtak, Haryana on June 20, 2008. Total 8 teams from Haryana partook in the tournament including Bahudeen – Sirsa, Masoodpur – Hissar, Noona Majra – Jhajjar, Bahalba – Rohtak, which demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship and team spirit.

Amity Football Development Center, established under the aegis of Amity United Football Club, is a pioneering step towards promoting football at the grass root level, tap the hidden talents and train them to take the game of football to its highest zenith.

The humungous crowd from neighboring villages comprising women folk, elderly people, children and men gathered to cheer up the young participants who want to make big in this area. The faces of participants, who were under 12 years category, emanated remarkable courage and unflinching determination to make it the winners’ title.

The spectacular and exciting finals of the AFDC- RFC league were played on the grounds of Bahalba village between Bahalba team and Noona Majra team. Until half time the score was 1 goal in favor of Bahalba team. The winners title was bagged by Bahalba team by defeating Noona Majra team by 1-0 goals.

The final match of AFDC- RFL league was witnessed by Hon’ble Mr. Deepender Singh Hudda, Member of Parliament, Mr. Anand Singh Dangi, MLA and Mr. Aseem Chauhan- President, Amity United Football Club.

On this occasion, extending his wishes to AUFC and sharing the plight of football in India, Hon’ble Mr. Deepender Singh Hudda, Member of Parliament,Rohtak said that the interest of people in the once-popular game, football is dwindling now. It has lost out to its more illustrious cousin cricket in the popularity stakes. This calls for Football Clubs with adequate infrastructure and grass-root coaching programs for re- establishing the game of football and its lost sheen.

This initiative is taken by the visionary and sports enthusiast, Mr. Aseem Chauhan, President, AUFC. After the final match Mr. Chauhan congratulated the players for their sportsmanship and team spirit. Stressing the aim of AUFC , he said that AUFC provides training to young football players so that these players can play for the country and ultimately India could qualify for World Cup. While addressing the participants of the AFDC league, Mr. Chauhan said that the purpose of organizing rural football league is to hunt the talent of football and to train young football players from the rural areas.

Amity United Football Club (AUFC) is a premier club of state of Haryana which has won laurels in many prestigious tournaments. It has been selected in the National Football League-II. With the efforts of AUFC, Haryana state has become Junior National Champions and currently Haryana state is ranked sixth nationally. AUFC has won more than 20 tournaments nationally.
