Amity Indian National Football Club becomes joint winner of Senior Division Annual Football Championship after the match was abruptly ended due to poor light condition. The match was held at Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi and was witnessed by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Shiela Dixit, Mr. Arvinder Singh Lovely, Education & Transport Minister, Government of Delhi, Mr. Subhash Chopra, MLA & President, Delhi Soccer Association, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, Mr. Aseem Chauhan, President of Amity United Football Club and Indian National Football Club.
Finals of Senior Division Annual Football Championship was played between last year runners-up Indian National Football Club, part of Amity Universe and G 4S-Hindustan Football Club. At the half time, none of the teams were able to make goal. Even after the second half, both the teams were still to strike a goal. The game reached to extra time and during that time, after consulting with both teams, officials delared the match to be ended due to poor light condition.
Before the finals, last year runners-up Indian National Football Club, part of Amity Universe draws its last super leaguer match with Tarun Sangha Football Club to enter finals by securing 18 points. G 4S-Hindustan Football Club upset last year winners New Delhi Heroes by forcing draw and getting crucial 20 points to enter in finals.
