Amity Institute of Forensic Science and Rotary Club of Delhi City organized a two day blood donation camp on October 26 and 27, 2009 at Amity University Campus, Sector 125, Noida. The two day camp witnessed overwhelming donation of blood by Amity University students and faculties. The purpose of the camp was noble and it was a great success.
The eminent guests who visited the blood donation camp included hon’ble Mr. Sudarshan Agarwal, former Governor of Uttarakhand visited the camp today to encourage more and more students to donate blood which is life giving to a person, Ms. Malti Chibber, Social Activists and active member of Rotary Club of Delhi City, Mr. Vijay Gilani, member of Rotary Club of Delhi City and Mr. M.S. Chauhan, Secretary Rotary Club of Delhi City and Mr. Ajay Chauhan, Trustee Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) also visited the camp.
Mr. Ajay Chauhan, Trustee Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) while addressing the gathering expressed his joy on seeing the enthusiasm amongst the students to donate blood. He also conveyed that he is looking forward for more such kind of blood donation camp in future.
Mr. Sudarshan Agarwal, former Governor of Uttarakhand addressed the gathering with his inspiring words to the students. He said blood donation is one of the noblest donations one can give to save one’s life.
Mr. M.S. Chauhan, Secretary Rotary Club of Delhi City thanked the students and the faculties of Amity University for selflessly donating blood in the blood donation camp.
Dr. (Mrs.) Balwinder Shukla, Pro-Vice Chancellor Amity Univerty, Noida said that during the last year’s blood donation camp approximately 900 units of blood was collected. In the current blood donation camp on the first day itself 400 units of blood have been collected. This time the camp has a target of about 1000 units to break last year’s record.
