National Unity Day
Amity University Madhya Pradesh celebrated National Unity Day with enthusiasm and patriotic vehemence.
The National Unity Day pledge ceremony was inaugurated with the opening remarks of Chairman, NSS, Major Gen. Dr. S. C. Jain,VSM**, Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology. He emphasized that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated every year on 31st of October by the people all through India. It is to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who really unified the country. To pledge oneself to national unity and integrity is the highest tribute to the great man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on his birth anniversary by remembering his extraordinary works for the country.
Faculty, students, staff members and 200 NSS volunteers of AUMP enthusiastically contributed in the run for unity and oath taking ceremony organized in the university premises. A vibrant march-past was performed by the sports academy students of AUMP. The ceremony concluded at 1710 hrs with the closing remarks by Program Officer, NSS, Dr. Rachana Kathal who praised the whole hearted enthusiasm of the staff, teachers, officials and NSS volunteers. She emphasized that to “Bring the Nation Together and remain United in Times of Strife and Rising Extremism” is the mantra for the young India to face all challenges and opportunities in a vast and diversified country like our motherland.
