Parnassus - An English Festival

Parnassus is an English Fest under which different competitions related to English language are conducted. The objective of this fest is to boost the creative writing and language skills of the students.

Overall 5 competitions, namely Debate, Slogan Writing, Extempore, Self- composed Poetry Recitation and Story Writing were held under Parnassus.Around107 students from various schools and institutions of AUM enthusiastically participated in these competitions. A Prize distribution Ceremony of Parnassus was organised and awarded to the victor.

The Chief Guest for the function was Film Director, Creative Writer, Blogger and Motivational Speaker, Mr. T. D. Kumar from Mumbai.

A speech was given by Mr. Kumar.In his speech, he spoke on the topic “In the World of Creative Writing” in which he gave guidelines to the students about how to improve the skill of creative writing. It was interactive session. Students freely asked their queries and shared their experiences. The Chief Guest was highly impressed and appreciated the talent of students.

In the end, students gave positive feedback and articulated their ideas to organise more innovative competitions next year.

Amity Global Business School, Ahmedabad conducted the Concluding Ceremony on 25th May 2015, for the MBA batch of 2013-15 and BBA batch of 2012-15, in the presence of Director – Mr. Haresh Kothari, Dean - Prashant Saxena, faculty members, staff and students of the institute. The programme started at around 5.00 pm in the evening. The outgoing batches of students were welcomed with a rose bud and tilak.  The session was started with Saraswati Vanadana and lighting of lamp.

Welcome address and the master of ceremony speech was given by Dr Neha Parashar. She welcomed the students to the event and in her speech also highlighted all the events, activities and new initiatives taken in last one year on the campus. After this our beloved Director, Mr. Haresh Kothari, commenced his address to the gathering by seeking the sincere blessings from our Respected Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan and Honorable President, Dr. Atul Chauhan, our Beloved Mr. U. Ramachandran, Senior Vice President & Head Academics AGBS National Campuses & Mr. Gauravh Gupta, DGM Marketing.

This segment was followed by the distribution of the programme certificates,provisional certificates, Area Merit awards and Non-academic awards to them meritorious students in various categories. The presentation of the Salvers and Citations encouraged the students all the more and aroused a sense of pride and achievement in their hearts. Post the certificate distribution, Director Mr. Haresh Kothari adhered the “Pledge” to the passing out MBA and BBA students.

Following which Dean Dr.Prashant Saxena in his concluding speech highlighted the “Power of One” through a heart touching video. He emphasised that the students should always be ready to accept  “Change”,  make “Choices” and take up “Challenges” in their lives.

The message of our beloved Founder President respected Dr. Atul Chauhan Sir was delivered by our core faculty Ms. Jagpreet Gandhi. One student each from BBA 2012-15 and MBA 2013-15 batches were invited to the dais to come & share their experience at AGBS Ahmedabad. The simple and honest words of these students made all present there very nostalgic.

This event concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Pallavi Mittal followed by the  National Anthem. The Group photo sessions for the different batches were organized soon after the completion of the concluding ceremony followed by the arrangement of the dinner for all staff and students.
