Amity College of Nursing Celebrated Organ Donation Day at Civil Hospital Gurgaon

 Role Play and Health Awareness Programme on Organ Donation was presented at Civil Hospital ,Gurgaon, on 16th  December by BSc(H) Nursing IVth Sem Students under the Supervision and Guidance of Mr. Robin J Bhatti , MSN,RNRM Assistant Professor, Medical Surgical Nursing  and Ms. Kusum Roy MSN,RNRM ,Tutor, Medical Surgical Nursing, Amity College of Nursing.

The aim of conducting this Programme was to increase the awareness about importance of organ donation and to remove the hesitations of the people about donating organs. This programme helped us to distribute the messages of organ donation all over the community & to say a grateful thanks to the donors of Organs.

Organ Donation is now widely publicise in view of increasing deaths everyday due to lack of organ availability. There are numerous patients who dies daily either in road accidents or due to some disease but their organs are not used further in order to save other lives. This awarness helps them understand the value of organ donation in the life of an individual.

The programme ended up with the slogan of Organ Donation-“DONATE ORGANS SAVE LIVES”.

Amity University Rajasthan organise workshop "Scope of Architecture and Town Planning profession"

A Workshop was held on 28th April, 2016, by Mr. Pradeep Kapoor, who is the Additional Chief Town Planner of the Rajasthan State and Secretary General of the Institute of Town Planners India and possesses over 35 yrs of experience. He emphasized that the Architecture and planning course is in great demand due to the pressure created by the infrastructure development policy of the government of India. He informed that there is great employment possibility in the public as well in private sector for these professions.

In addition, Prof. Alok Ranjan (Professor, Department of Architecture, MNIT Jaipur & Member of Executive Committee-COA) and Ar. Vinod Bhargav (Former Chief Architect- Rajasthan) also Suggested students to get more practical exposure and understand the intricacies of Architecture and Planning field in spite of just passing the exams. He emphasized that interaction with teaches is a rare opportunity which every students should fully utilize.

It was an interactive session in which students put up many queries and the guest clarified all the doubts of students.

The session was successful and full of excellent experience of practical knowledge. The students have greatly been benefited with guidance given by Expert.
