Amity Institute of Education (AIE), Saket, New Delhi organized a weeklong workshop from June 19, 2006 to June 23, 2006 for the Administrative Officers of Air Force Schools, Western Air Command. A total of 30 participants, Principals and Education Officers from Air Force Schools of Jammu, Udampur, Delhi, Sirsa, Amritsar, Ambala, Faridabad, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Hindon, Halwara and Arjangarh attended this workshop.
During this workshop, a series of lectures, interactions and activities on various aspects of school administration and financial management were conducted. Topics covered in the workshop were how to conduct periodical/board examinations and role of examining bodies, alternative systems of examination, result analysis and remedial measures thereof, general sanitation and health education, basic knowledge of finance and books of accounts, budgeting and investments, basic knowledge on typical court cases, handling procedures, CAT and school tribunal, Disaster management etc.

The main topic, sub-topics and other issues to be discussed in this Workshop are of utmost importance for bringing desired changes in about the different dimensions of school administration”.
Dr. Ranjana Bhatia, Professor & Principal, Amity Institute of Education (AIE) remarked, “The main aim of the workshop is to appraise the participants about the different dimensions of school administration and to enhance their entrepreneurial and administrative skills”.
Eminent educationists and administrators from the educational fraternity shared their experiences with the participants and helped them enhance their knowledge and skills of administration. The participants were also taken to Amity Campus, Sector-44, Noida and provided with hands on experience on the administrative aspect of managing a school.
