Mr. Flemming Norklit, Managing Director of BSI Management Systems (Global) and Mr. Venkataram Arabolu, Managing Director, BSI India Ltd. visited Amity on 6th February 2008 to award the certificates to nine Institutions and QAE which were certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 along with Amity University. Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University welcomed the delegates from BSI

Mr. Flemming Norklit, Managing Director of BSI Management Systems (Global) congratulated all the students and institutions who received the ISO certificates. Mr. Norklit said that Amity is among few universities in the world which has taken quality and environment management system very seriously.

Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University elated with the certification commented that the faculty members of the university are the driving force behind the higher standards achieve by the University and the students studying benefits from such value additions in their career. In last 10 years Amity has grown from few hundred students to 50,000 students and aim is to have 5 lakhs students in next 10 years Amity.

The journey began in April 2006 when the Management decided to go in for ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 with BSI.

•Around 29 Institutes were audited for certification by BSI in November 2006.
•All the 27 Institutions including Amity University received the certificate on December 2006.
•These 27 Institutions were put to Surveillance audit during the week Jan28 to Feb 1, 2008.
•QAE took the approval of certification of 9 more Institutions which included Amity Law School (affiliated to Ch Charan Singh University) and Amity School of Engineering & technology, Bijwasan.
•The 9 Institutions were audited by BSI team during Jan 28 to Feb1, 2008
