Concourse of leading academicians and world renowned corporate giants at Amity during Asia’s biggest three day International Business Horizon "INBUSH 2008"

Keeping pace with changing business environment, Amity International Business School regularly organizes extensive research conferences to provide a common platform to distinguished academicians, management students and research scholars, professionals for exchange of views, concerns and ideas.

Knowledge amalgamated with a dose of entertainment is what Amity International Business School is rendering on its tenth annual International Business Horizon- " INBUSH" which was spread over three days ie. February 20 - 22, 2008. This year's INBUSH has been aptly christened as "People, Passion, Patience, Perception & Peace: Challenges for Global Organizations."

The honored guests, Dr. U.D Choubey- Chairman & Managing Director, Gas Authority of India Ltd.; Prof. Alan Sibbald- Dy. Vice Chancellor, Anglia Ruskin University, U.K; Dr. Sujit K. Basu- Management Development Institute, Gurgaon; Prof. J K Mitra- Head & Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi; Prof. R. C Sobti- Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University inaugurated the Summit.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Universe extended his gratitude to the doyens of the industry, who added to the fervor of INBUSH 2008 by their benign presence. He opined that the country is having a very large percentage of young population; therefore the strength of the youth has to be channelised. He called upon students to dream big and follow it with unwavering dedication and devotion.

Applauding the theme of "INBUSH", Prof. R. C Sobti- Vice Chancellor, Panjab University remarked that the theme ""People, Passion, Patience, Perception & Peace: Challenges for Global Organizations" is very contemporary, keeping in with the changing scenario of India Inc. He said that 5 P's mentioned in the theme have acquired a lot of importance and considerable attention. They have become benchmarks for any organization clamoring for global recognition.

Dr. Sujit K. Basu- Management Development Institute, Gurgaon called for radical change in the education system where theory has to take a back seat and education has to become practical oriented with more of hands on experience.

Dr. Earl Potter- President, St. Cloud State University praised the rich culture and traditions of India, which is nurtured in every family and household of India. He emphasized that a true successful professional is a combination of values and knowledge, and Indian manpower is a perfect combination of both which is making India visible in the global economy.

Prof. P.K Abdul Aziz- Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University outlined that the demand of skilled and trained manpower in India far exceeds the capacity of universities, which have grown rapidly in number from 20 in 1947 to 378 in 2008. He suggested revamp of higher education in India and remarked that policy makers have to revitalize the higher education and put in on a fast track trajectory.

Dr. U.D Choubey- Chairman & Managing Director, Gas Authority of India Ltd called upon the budding managers to remain simple and humble even if they acquire dizzy heights in their career and keep upgrading their knowledge pool, which has become the need of the hour.

During the day several awards were conferred on the role models and corporate hubs which are guiding force for the budding managers and have set an example through achievement of excellence in their respective fields.
