Amity launches its newspaper ‘The Global Times’

Amity launched its Students' Newspaper “The Global Times” on Children’s Day November 14, 2007. The first issue was released by Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools. On this occasion, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan said that The Global Times is exclusively for school and university students. It is an attempt to educate, inform and build opinion among the youth of the country.

According to Ms. Nishtha Bhatnagar, Editor, The Global Times would contain news, views, editorials and feature based articles. A 12 page newspaper would include pages like:
Moolah Mantra: Career and Education
World Mirror: News and Sports
Apna Idol: Whose life is it anyways?
Gyan Vigyan: Science Page
Muse: Editorial
How u doin? : Lifestyle
Relative Rapport: Relationships
Jamboree: DelhiSchool Lounge

Unwind: Entertainment

Ms. Bhatnagar said that she is looking forward to the whole hearted contribution of the students and faculty towards the content of the newspaper on a regular basis and support in making this endeavour a successful one.

Importance of art like dance and songs for knowledge development.

Amity University Jharkhand, today on 19th January 2019, organized a talent show to promote art like dance, songs and other talents in the students. Retired Lieutenant General Gyan Bhushan Singh was present as the chief guest! Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity university Jharkhand and Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey, Amity University Jharkhand were present in the event. Students of various schools and colleges participated in the event. The purpose of the program was to highlight the hidden art in the students and present them to the people. During this program, Chief Guest, Retired Lieutenant General Gyan Bhushan said that discipline in the student's life is a very important thing. Discipline in the army helps us learn all things, in the same way, if we remain disciplined we can achieve success in every field of life! Directors and teachers from various coaching institutes of Ranchi were present in the program as well to witness this grand event! All credit goes to Amity University Jharkhand, family members to make this program a grand success!
