To bring Insurance companies under one roof, Amity School of Insurance and Actuarial Science is organizing Amity Insurance Cricket cup from past 6 years. 7th Amity Insurance Cricket cup was inaugurated by Mr. Robin Singh Jr., Cricketer of International Repute, Mr. Sameer Bahadur, Zonal Head, Star Health and Allied Insurance, Mr. MKP Rao, Regional Head, SBI Life Insurance, Maj Gen K.J. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Amity University at Amity Sports Grounds, Amity University Campus,
Sec-125,Noida.
Mr. Robin Singh Jr., Cricketer advised the players to imbibe their sporting spirit rather than winning in their game. Mr. Singh said that he had come from village background and he had to face many hurdles before making into Indian test team. One should not lose hope and should have faith in oneself and in God. Mr. Singh said this tournament is happening at the right time since the cricket fever has again gripped the crowd with India winning the test series against Australia. Youth in the Indian team has proved that they have the talent, similarly the players in this tournament should play at their best.”
Mr. Sameer Bahadur, Zonal Head, Star Health and Allied Insurance said that Cricket is like life. Everybody wants to remove the successful person from the field. If we have problems in life then we should think of batsman. He faces bombardment of balls & survives. Cricket is by chance, so the Life.”
The Amity Insurance Cricket Cup is dedicated to support the NGO arm of Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, “AMITASHA”, working for the education and up-liftment of ‘girl child’ belonging to the disadvantaged sections of the society. This movement of the foundation and up-liftment of the girl child has now taken firm roots with additional centers at Noida and Saket.
The games are restricted to Saturdays and Sundays. The collection of the registration fee will be handed over to Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amitasha. The Knock out matches will be played next Saturday and Sunday to finalize the team for semifinal. The participation fee will be donated to “Amitasha”, the NGO arm of the Amity Foundation.
Amity School of Insurance and Actuarial Science was set up in the year 2000 to provide qualified and trained manpower to the new entrants. The institution was founded under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation.
