Significance of VLSI and Embedded Systems

Amity School of Engineering and Technology of Amity University Madhya Pradesh Located at Gwalior conducted a seminar on “Significance of VLSI and Embedded Systems” on 04 October 2013. The seminar started with traditional lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Inaugurating the seminar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma, AVSM (Retd) delivered his opening remarks on the theme by focusing on Scenarios and Perspectives of VLSI and Embedded Systems. He presented numerous examples on the applications of VLSI and Embedded Systems. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Senior Scientist (Embedded Systems) from New Delhi was the chief Guest of the seminar. He delivered the keynote address to the participants of the seminar on the recent trends of VLSI and Embedded Systems.
The students of Second year B.Tech. (ECE) of Amity University Madhya Pradesh delivered a number of well- researched presentations on the focus area with sub-themes in Digital Design, System Design, Embedded System, Emerging Technologies. Shivam Sharma, Pragyan Bharti Das, Anshul Chauhan, Nidhi Baishander presented a paper on Digital Design. Pankaj Kumar, Anand Kumar, Babar Jamal, Sarvansh Malwiya presented a paper on System Design. Rajat Sharma, Ritika Narwariya, Nikita Sukhija, Vinay Singh presented a paper on Embedded System. Shalini Verma, Durgesh Verma, Satyam Raj, Aman Gupta, Sudeep Giri presented a paper on Emerging Technologies. The student presentations were formalized under the active guidance of Mr. Narendra KumarGarg, Mr.Vivek Singh Kushwah, Ms. Shally Goyal and Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. The programme was hosted by Ms. Devshree Sahasrabudhe and Ms. Ranbir Kaur.
Participation certificates were distributed to all the speakers and outside participants of the seminar by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AU MP and the Chief Guest. A number of professionals, researchers and educationists from Gwalior also volunteered to participate in the seminar. The Dean (Academics),Registrar, Director (Administration), Heads of Schools, faculty members, staff members and students were present on the occasion. A vote of thanks was proposed by the convener of the programme. The programme was conducted by Prof(Dr.) Bikram K. Bahinipati, Deputy Director and Head of Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh. The event was highlighted by overwhelming participation by students and faculties of Amity University and other institutes in Gwalior, which was organized in the packed-house auditorium of the university. The seminar ended with a standing ovation to the Chief Guest, student presenters and the organizers.
