Amity School of Communication, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organised a one day Radio Workshop on Radio Productions 0n 14th Oct 2013. Mr. Hamendra Dhar, Assistant Program Director at 93.5 Red FM, Noida office was the resource person in the workshop.Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd) and Dr R S Tomar, Dean (Academics)were the Guests of Honour.

The workshop commenced with introduction of Mr. Hamendra Dhar and it was interesting to know that he is an alumnus of Amity School of Communications, Lucknow. He gave immense knowledge on radio production techniques which started with a simple question 'What basically Radio is and why it is the most important information dissemination instrument in the modern world? ' .

The session included facts on radio structure, functions and technicalities. Mr Hemendra Dhar told the students that radio is composed of 80% music and 20% shows, sweepers etc. He also focused on the speaking skills, pronunciation and voice modulations which are so essential for becoming a Radio Jockey.

During the workshop many interactive and creative competitions were held like Creative Writing and Self Introduction. The winners Anchal Sahani and Abhishek Soni were awarded by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor and Mr Hamendra Dhar. Students production work which included various radio shows like Gandhiji , Swayamwar , Faculty Interviews etc.  were highly appreciated by Mr Hamendra. The workshop ended with a thanksgiving by Ms. Saumya Saxena.
