Amity University organized a technology based session for engineering students of Amity School of Engineering & Technology on 14 September, 2009 at E2 Block Auditorium, Amity Campus. Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor, AUUP & Director General, Amity School of Engineering & Technology welcomed the esteemed guest, Mr. Pushpender Kumar Gupta, Practice Director and Chief Architect, Information Protection Practice, Chairman - SNIA South Asia, EMC, Heads of the Department, faculty members, and students and gave the opening remarks.

Mr. P K Gupta shared his vast knowledge & experience of 25 years in IT industry with the young professionals & faculty members.

Mr. Gupta briefed on the journey of Data Storage Technology from last 30 years, that how industry began using from the bulky and big hard disk to current 2 TB small hard disks. He not only informed about the latest technologies like SAN, NAS, CAS, FC over Ethernet, ISD, OSD and many more but explained about Cloud computing, Green IT and Storage class Memory. He shared the information on Law of Attraction and informed that how the students should work on their Thought Process as positive thoughts attracts more positive energy.

The students were informed of many options in IT field, where they can make their careers & change their profile 24 X 7. He apprised students how to become a good professional & gave students the Mantra of Every minute Change. Each & every single word spoken by Mr.Gupta was very much significant & encouraging.

During the event, Mr. Siddhartha Chaturvedi, student of B.Tech. CSE, 2006-10 batch was choosen as one of the EMC Ambassadors of Amity University. First ten students of B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering, final year (2006-10 Batch) were given prizes as encouragement for the registration in EMC Academic Alliance web site.
