An interactive technology based session was organized by Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) for B.Tech. CSE & B.Tech. IT students on September 17, 2009 at F2 Block Auditorium in Amity Campus.

Mr. Vimal Joshi, GM, Promotion & Marketing, Delhi & NCR, IBM and Mr. Amit Mukherjee - Zonal Manager-North, Central, East & North-East, IBM were invited as the keynote speakers.

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics) & Director General, ASET welcomed the guests followed by opening remarks by Maj. Gen. A K Jain, Addl. Director, ASET & HOD, IT and Prof. Kesar Singh, HOD, CSE.

Mr. Mukherjee & Mr. Joshi highlighted the latest technology adopted by IBM fraternity and informed that how students can avail the opportunity of National Recognition by participating in a national project challenge under IBM Academic Initiative by the name TGMC’ 09 (The Great Mind Challenge).

Students were briefed on the aspects of TGMC, registration, opportunities to avail the technical support, academic initiatives, hardware, middleware, tools, text books, and rewards like laptop to each member of the team, i-pods & other electronic gadgets along with IBM certification after successful submission & acceptance of the online project.

During the event, Mr. Siddharth Chaturvedi & Mr. Satya Swarup, students of B.Tech. CSE, 2006-10 batch were decalred as the TGMC Ambassadors in Amity University.
