A seminar to introduce the NTCC courses and Research Orientation, organized by CBFS, ASAS on 24th August, 2023
The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Forensic Sciences, Amity School of Applied Sciences, Amity University Haryana organized a seminar to introduce the NTCC courses and Research Orientation to the students, on 24th August, 2023.
Prof. S.R. Pathak, Head of CBFS, ASAS, was present as the expert speaker, who highlighted the importance and structure of of NTCC courses, which are non- teaching credit courses, and research papers in postgraduate programs. The curriculum consists of five NTCC courses, namely, Term paper, Summer internship paper, Major project, Research seminar, Laboratory practices during the post -graduation. Prof. Pathak also emphasized on the usage of the Bloom’s Taxonomy to map the content while writing a research paper or a review article. The event was been coordinated by Dr. Dipti Vaya and attended by a total of 12 students and 4 faculty members.
In conclusion, the event demonstrated knowledge about various research methods, publishing houses such as Wiley, Science direct, Bentham and Springer, and different sites and sources of literature. Additionally, the program encouraged the students to practice critical and out of the box thinking.
