The highlight of the day was a captivating session by Dr. Saurabh Chamotra, the Joint Director of CDAC Mohali, who enlightened the audience on "Dominating Cyber Attackers through Intelligent Deception." Dr. Chamotra's presentation shed light on critical cybersecurity threats, including infamous cases like Stuxnet and phishing attacks. He emphasized the growing importance of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape. Attendees were taken on a deep dive into the dark web, malware detection, and the lurking dangers in email communication. The workshop also explored the intricacies of email tracking and provided insights into enhancing Android and iPhone security measures.
The second major attraction of the event was Technovation'23, a platform where students showcased their innovative projects. Team Crypt stole the spotlight with their groundbreaking project, the "Neurosentry Cap." This innovative creation utilizes EEG technology to monitor brain health, offering promising advancements in the field of healthcare and well-being. The runner-up position went to Team Pyquant Trio, creators of the "Baymax Chatbot," a chatbot designed to respond to users' emotions, showcasing the potential of AI-driven emotional support systems. Additionally, Team Fire Rockerz earned the Best All Freshers Team title for their mesmerizing project, 'Ruben's Tube,' featuring captivating dancing butane gas flames.
